Sticky Waterfalls ( Bua Thong Waterfalls)

Today we head to the incredible Sticky Waterfalls, also known as Bua Thong Waterfalls, a unique natural phenomenon located near Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The falls are famous for their porous limestone rocks, rich in calcium carbonate deposits, which allow visitors to climb the cascades without slipping.

Unlike other waterfalls, Bua Thong’s rough, mineral-coated surface provides excellent grip, making the climb fun, safe, and suitable for all ages.
The water flows from the sacred spring of Nam Phu Chet Si, leaving behind a thin mineral layer that creates the famous “sticky” effect.
Nestled within a beautiful national park, the waterfalls are a popular destination for a day of adventure and nature.

This activity is perfect for all ages. (However, elderly visitors or those not physically prepared are advised to refrain, as some sections can be challenging and require the use of ropes.) Strategically placed ropes help along the steeper areas, making the climb both safe and enjoyable for most visitors.
It’s the ideal place to cool off, relax, and take in the stunning natural surroundings.
