Bang Krachao
by bike
The jungle-covered river bend that Bangkok forgot to build on, ridden on narrow raised paths through local communities.
See the ride →The piece of Bangkok that stayed still
A short boat crossing from the city and the noise stops. Bang Krachao is a river bend of orchards, canals and stilt houses that was protected from development, so it is still worked by the families who live there. Most of the ride runs on narrow concrete paths raised above the water, between coconut palms and banana groves, with the skyline always visible across the river.

What you will see
More than a bike tour
“Bang Krachao is the piece of Bangkok that stayed still. We ride it the way people who live there move — slowly, on narrow paths, stopping for a drink, a viewpoint or a plate of grilled fish. The skyline is always there across the water, which is exactly what makes it so strange and so good.”
