Train Market, Floating Market & Mangrove Tour
We begin the day with a visit to the famous Maeklong Railway Market, one of Thailand’s most extraordinary sights. Here, vendors set up their stalls right along the tracks, skilfully pulling back their umbrellas and displays as the train passes just inches away. It’s a fascinating glimpse into local life and daily rhythms.
After this unique experience, we continue toward Amphawa to explore one of the region’s floating markets.
You may choose between the lively Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, known for its colorful atmosphere, or — if it’s a weekend — the more authentic and peaceful Tha Kha Floating Market.
We’ll cruise along the canals by boat, passing vendors selling fresh fruit, snacks, handicrafts, and traditional Thai products directly from their boats.
Our journey then takes us into the mangrove ecosystem for half a day of exploration. During the boat ride, we’ll observe the daily life of local fishermen—here, clam harvesting is even done from a surfboard—visit a seafood farm, and get incredibly close to the playful monkeys that inhabit the mangroves. A delicious specialty lunch will be included.
Finally, we return to Bangkok after a day filled with authentic cultural encounters and unforgettable moments.
