Tour por la ciudad de Bangkok

The Venice of the East

We start the morning heading to the pier, where we board public boats that take us up the river toward the city center, passing along the right bank and the lively flower market district of Pak Khlong Talat.

Our day begins with a visit to the Gran Palacio, built in 1782 and home to some of Bangkok’s most magnificent architectural treasures. Inside, we explore the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), which houses a remarkable 14th-century emerald Buddha and is considered one of the most sacred sites in Thailand.

Next, we continue on foot to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest and most iconic temples, famous for its impressive Reclining Buddha.

We then cross the river on a small ferry to reach Wat Arun, the legendary “Temple of Dawn,” beautifully located on the opposite bank.

To end the experience, we embark on a private traditional long-tail boat ride along the Río Chao Phraya, one of the country’s most important waterways. As we navigate through the canals, we discover why Bangkok is often called the “Venice of the East”, observing everyday local life where many residents still live in wooden houses right on the water’s edge.
